Free class – Simple Textile Portraits.

Creating a textile portrait can be quite challenging, as it requires a high level of skill and patience. Selecting the right fabrics, cutting and arranging them to form the portrait, and sewing them together requires a great deal of precision and attention to detail.

Additionally, achieving the desired shading and depth in a textile portrait presents its own set of challenges. Overall, it’s a complex and time-consuming process that demands both artistic talent and technical expertise.

I decided I would attempt to design a simple way to create a realistic portrait in a day.

I travel the world teaching and talking. Photographing and writing, Sharing experiences What a way to go.

Thank you so much Pam. I’m completely unwound after that. I found it very easy to follow, but can see that shading would take up a lot of time, and most likely it is very therapeutic. This morning I’ve been trying to work out why my print out border is only so big but my blocks much to big to fit in it. While looking up the print out problem I saw your name pop up so stopped and watched. So thank you again Pam you saved my day. I will now try and solve my problem. Cheers Glenda. FN Australia.
